Easy Installation and relocation has always been a key consideration to consumer when it comes to CCTV installation. Wireless cameras are compact and designed for the ease of its user. Wireless cameras can be easily installed at any place you desired without having to worry of the re-cabling of video cables. All you require is to have an AC power point and a strong wireless signal. Wireless System Limitation It is important to note that there are limitations to a wireless CCTV’s capabilities. A wireless camera must maintain a strong signal and connection to your network in order to record and capture footage. If the connection is disrupted, the wireless camera will not be able to send the video feed to the recorder and this will cause loss of video recording. The wireless camera generally cannot be too far away from the wireless hub (Access Point/Router). With direct line of slight, wireless signal range may reach up to 100-150 meters. However, signal within a house are usually lower at around 30-40 meters. The signal range varies due to different factors, including your home’s building materials, other wireless devices in the area and objects through which the signal will pass. Standard drywall and glass windows may not impact the strength of the camera’s wireless signal, but nut brick and concreate will. With brick walls or concrete slab in between the camera and the wireless receiver, your signal will highly likely be weakened. It really stood out to me when you explained that it is really easy to install and relocate the cameras that are being used in a CCTV system. If you are going to be using a CCTV system, I would imagine that it would be a good idea to have a really strong internet network. Having a strong internet connection would make the quality of the picture on the cameras better.
