How often should preventive maintenance be carried out? As the term implies, CCTV preventive maintenance involves regularly testing of the functionalities of CCTV surveillance equipment to reduce the probability of malfunction or failure.
Regular maintenance of systems ensures that the CCTV systems are working to their optimum performance and that images recorded and stored are fit for purpose and of evidence quality. Preventive maintenance is an essential part of ensuring continuous surveillance and helps to deter break-in, theft and the overall security of the area.
The frequency of preventive maintenance will be determined by the quality and age of the system. For an older system, we would usually recommend maintenance to be carried out every three months to ensure that everything is working as expected. A newer system in its prime condition can be inspected once every year.
Our team are professionally trained in carrying out preventive maintenance. During the preventive maintenance, our team will carry out inspections on both hardware and software of the system; cleaning up of the cameras, checking recording status and camera night vision functionality are few areas of inspection.
A report on the system health will also be provided and our team will highlight on any follow up works if required. Interested to understand more about our preventive maintenance package? Feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org call +65 8727 7634.
